One of the underlying intentions of this service is to increase the level of play and competition of girl's basketball in Wisconsin; in turn gaining more exposure from colleges. The nature of the recruiting process makes it difficult to "get a good feel" for what program is going to suit each party best. Our hope is that Recruit Wisconsin can help improve this process. Not only on the court, but in the classroom and well beyond the student-athlete's time at the school. Basketball has always been my passion. Coupled with my love for teaching, I can't seem to completely walk away. One of my favorite parts of being a coach is helping others to find things inside themselves that they never realized. I strive to teach young women and men how to develop the mental toughness necessary to accompany the physical skills and abilities which are integral to success on the basketball court. How the mental toughness developed through athletics can be transferred into finding success and enjoyment in everyday life and reaching far beyond the realm of athletics. I feel very fortunate to have had the journey that I did as a college student-athlete, and I wish that everyone were able to have a similar experience. Part of my drive behind starting Recruit Wisconsin is to help both student-athletes and college coaches alike, find the "perfect fit" in the recruiting process. So that not only will this hopefully translate into success on the court and in the class room, but also into a memorable, positive experience that will last beyond their time as a student-athlete. Personally, I love the outdoors, traveling and trying new things. I grew up in rural Northwestern Wisconsin and have a love for the solitude and wonderment of nature.
